Privacy Policy

RECALC (“RECALC”, “we”, “us”) provides a web and installable progressive web app (PWA) calculator with calculation memory, saved calculations, reusable templates and Pro subscriptions. This policy applies to the RECALC website, the app and all related support communication.

• Account information. Your email address, authentication identifier and, where you sign in with Google, the basic profile details Google returns (name, email, profile image).
• Profile information. Account type (Individual or Business), full name and, for business accounts, your business name.
• Calculation data. Expressions you calculate, their results, titles, notes, categories, pin/save state and reuse counts.
• Template data. Templates you create — input labels, default values, suffixes and the formulas you define.
• Subscription and payment verification data. Your plan, trial start and end dates, subscription status, comeback offer eligibility, and the transaction reference and notes you submit for manual JazzCash or NayaPay verification.
• Preferences. Currency, decimal precision and appearance (light, dark or system).
• Usage events. Limited product events (for example, a calculation saved or a template created) used to operate and improve the app.

We do not collect card numbers, bank credentials, JazzCash or NayaPay passwords, or any wallet login details. Payments are verified manually from the reference you provide.

• To create and secure your account and keep you signed in.
• To store and display your calculation history, saved calculations and templates across your devices.
• To operate the 2-day free trial, Pro subscriptions and comeback offers.
• To verify manual JazzCash and NayaPay payments and activate your plan.
• To respond to support requests you send us.
• To detect abuse, prevent fraud and keep the service reliable.

We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing the app), to meet legitimate interests (security, service improvement, fraud prevention) and, where required, with your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

RECALC does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. We use strictly necessary browser storage:

• Authentication storage. A session token so you stay signed in.
• Local calculation history. Recent calculations are kept on your device so the calculator works offline, then synced to your account when you are online.
• Preferences. Theme and display settings.
• Service worker cache. App shell files cached so RECALC can be installed and opened offline.

Clearing your browser storage signs you out and removes unsynced local history.

• Backend and database provider. Our managed Postgres and authentication provider stores your account and application data securely on our behalf.
• Google Sign-In. If you choose Google sign-in, Google authenticates you and shares your basic profile with us under Google’s own privacy policy.
• Hosting and delivery. Our hosting provider processes standard request data (such as IP address and browser type) to serve the app.
• Support messaging. If you contact us via WhatsApp, that conversation is handled under the messaging provider’s terms.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.

All traffic is encrypted in transit. Your records are protected by row-level security rules so that each account can access only its own calculations, templates, subscription and payment records. Administrative access is limited to designated administrators and is used only for payment verification, support and account management. Privileged service keys are held server-side and are never exposed in the browser.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and keep your device secure.

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. Payment verification records may be retained for a reasonable period after account closure for accounting, dispute resolution and legal compliance. Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics may be kept indefinitely as they cannot identify you.

• Access and review your data from within the app at any time.
• Correct your profile details in Settings.
• Delete individual calculations, saved items or templates at any time.
• Request full account deletion by contacting support. Once confirmed, your profile, calculations, saved items, templates and preferences are permanently removed. Deletion is irreversible and does not refund an active subscription.
• Request a copy of your data by contacting support.

RECALC is not directed at children under 13. If we learn that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it.

We may update this policy as RECALC evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app and the “Last updated” date above will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
